Most importantly, a local night out brings friends together. Growing up, in a lot of ways, means you never get to spend quality time with your friends anymore. There's just too many responsibilities over the course of a regular day. That's why it's especially nice to get everyone together to get blackout drunk in a place where the music is too loud to have a regular conversation. And I'm not being sarcastic, either: your friends have gotten lame, just like you, but if you can't actually converse with them, you'll never have to find out.
