Scot Heywood: A Survey of Small Paintings
Opening this Saturday at Frank Lloyd Gallery is Scot Heywood: A Survey of Small Paintings. Heywood has created geometric abstract paintings for over 30 years using limited colors. The only dissonance in the pieces would be the solid colored strips cutting through the blocks of painting and the shift of sections in his work. The small shadows against the white backdrop gives a slight complexity to Heywood's work. Take a step back and observe the impact of minimalism in Scot Heywood's exhibit opening this Saturday. Jason Kraus: Concrete Form
Jason Kraus uses paint on plywood with a variety of colors in his exhibit, Concrete Form. The edges of the plywood are left in their natural wooden state, while one side is painted a solid color. Blocks of plywood are also placed in the exhibit with items placed on top, such as a chair and cups (however, the cups are actually "not art"). Catch Jason Kraus's exhibit at Redling Fine Art.
