Prince Charles Made "Sadistic" Jokes About Not Being Harry's Real Dad
Then again, what does an evil stepmother compare to a "sadistic" father?
Notorious jerk Prince Charles dubbed his son Harry his "spare" the day he was born, hence the title and overarching theme of his memoir. But even worse, perhaps, were his jokes about not being Harry's real father - a nod to the rumors that Harry was the son of Diana's lover, Major James Hewitt.
"Pa liked telling stories, and this was one of the best in his repertoire. He’d always end with a burst of philosophizing … Who knows if I’m really the Prince of Wales? Who knows if I’m even your real father?" writes Harry. "He’d laugh and laugh, though it was a remarkably unfunny joke... One cause of this rumor was Major Hewitt’s flaming ginger hair, but another cause was sadism."
