Interview with Markus Schulz

With blogs and social media, music spreads like wildfire, but so much of it tends to have a short shelf-life. How does this affect you? Since the digital revolution, that shelf life has been compressed across the board. Almost overnight, everything became much more instant. If it’s promoted properly, as I feel my music is, its staying power is dictated by its own quality and long-term appeal. That’s what dictates how long it holds its place on the playlists of radio and club DJs, and what I see my music doing. In that respect, I’m more than happy about it. [Photo courtesy of Armada Music]
