Well, wasn't last night's en plain air affair just the most divine? A juicy, ripe peach of an evening!
The decided brand for the sophisticate set, London-based leather goods house Métier brought their penchant for the playful and purposeful out East Wednesday with cocktails and an inspired feast at the Sagaponack home of Susannah Lachs and Dean Adler.
Hosts Melissa Morris and Huma Abedin drifted about the lawn, chatting up the flock of interesting Hamptonites in attendance. Batsheva Hay, Tanya Taylor, Pat Cleveland, Casey Fremont, Beverly Nguyen, Noot Seear.
As the sun began to set over the garden, past rambling beds of flowers, beyond a fountain-punctuated stone patio, an allée of fruit trees set the scene for a most magical dinner - branches hung with tea-stained Noguchi-inspired lanterns bowed over a long, stretched table laid with an artful crudité spread of miniature donut peach towers, potato garlands, squash blossom bouquets and nests of Dragon's Tongue beans. A multi-course exploration of Hamptons freshness followed with platters by Chef Flynn McGarry that fed the table's lively chorus of conversation late into the night.
Curious to see who wore what to this al fresco vision?
