The much anticipated wedding of Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky finally occurred on Saturday at Astor Court in Rhinebeck, NY. With details of the nuptials under wraps for months, little word of who would be attending, and security like you've never seen before, the former First Family is as close to royalty as this country will get. We've got the photos leading up to the very moment where the happy couple say 'I do.'
Madeleine Albright was spotted leaving lunch at Gigi Trattoria in Rhinebeck, N.Y. the day before the nuptials. VIPs on the wedding guest list were kept very hush hush. Other big-shots reportedly in attendance were Ted Danson with wife Mary Steenburgen and Vera Wang, the designer of both of Chelsea's gowns as well as her lavender bridesmaid's dresses.

Bill Clinton always knew how to please a crowd. Residents of the small N.Y. town gathered all weekend to even get a glimpse of the former President, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, and of course Chelsea. Local business decorated storefronts for the weekend's festivities. Many small business owners have said business has thrived in the weeks leading up to the wedding with reporters and guests flocking to the town.
Chelsea and Marc were wed at Astor Courts, a Hudson River estate built by John Jacob Astor. A no-fly zone was established over the estate from Saturday until Sunday morning at 3:30am.
And finally, here comes the bride...
The former President and First Lady released a statement at 7:23pm on Saturday in regards to their daughter's wedding:
"Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are so happy to welcome Marc into our family. On behalf of the newlyweds, we want to give special thanks to the people of Rhinebeck for welcoming us and to everyone for their well-wishes on this special day."
