Batkid To The Rescue
Batkid, the hero of our generation, simultaneously saving the day and raising our spirits. Miles Scott, age 5, was in remission from Leukemia and, courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and 11,000 volunteers, his love for comic book heroes came off the pages and into life. The superhero fanatic's dreams came true when he suited up as Batkid and spent the day with Batman keeping the streets of Gotham/San Francisco safe. All day long we felt warm fuzzies as we watched Miles cruise around in his very own Batmobile and fight crime. At the end of the day one thing was certain, in today's world we need Batkid more than Batkid needs us.
