Other details: On Saturday, January 24, BET Network held the taping of the annual BET Honors Awards at DC's historic Warner Theatre. The event began with a start studded red carpet featuring celebrities from Trey Songz and Kim Kardashian, to Phylicia Rashad as they entered the Warner Theatre before the show. The BET Honors celebrate those African American stars, highlighting their achievements from the previous year. The evening's program was hosted by funny man Wayne Brady, and the 2015 honorees included performers, Kayne West and Usher, legendary actress, Phylicia Rashad, Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole, Director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, and John W. Thompson, Chairman of the Board of Microsoft. In addition to this year's honorees the awards also featured several performances from artists such as Mary J.
