On Friday night, Opera Ultra Lounge celebrated one year with an over-the-top party with VIPs that featured a top shelf open bar, passed decadent bites (like sushi and steak), costumed characters like Betty Boop, Cleopatra and Marilyn Monroe, so many balloons, and of course...Opera's signature sexy cocktail waitresses.

Partying at Opera is like partying inside of a fireworks finale: there is always a total sensory overload of lights, music, sparklers and more. The club became louder and more packed as the evening went on, and one lucky attendee won a Moet & Chandon Nectar Rose bottle parade.

We spotted: DC United's Maicon Santos, Jameel McLain from the Baltimore Ravens, Jesus Flores from the Nationals and other athletes; Opera partners Alex Haje, Mood Bacho, John Alexiades, and Walid Zeytoun; Dave Kareem, Frank Zinzi, Adam Klopp, Christopher Brown, Pergrin Pervez, Brendan Kownacki, Roy Abdo, Adam Klopp, and GofG's Sophie Pyle and Lucien Zeigler.
