Regardless of what our mothers may have told us, the early bird doesn't always catch the worm. Apparently the rooftop of The Beacon Hotel was the place to be on Sunday and we just weren't fashionably late enough!
Much thanks to our reader, Austin Hill, for teaching us our lesson of the week. If an event calls for 4pm, there's no use in showing up for another three hours!
Our 5:30 arrival left us underwhelmed and disappointed, as you can see from the crowd below...
One word of advice we should have taken our mother's side on is 'patience is a virtue.' If only we would have waited around a little bit longer and not let our anxiety get the best of us, we would have been there for this:

We've learned our lesson and our hope in Sundays at The Beacon Hotel's rooftop has been restored! We can't wait to see you guys there this weekend....after 7pm.
