Melody Tavern officially opened its doors for live music this past Friday with a grand opening celebration and performance by local jazz musician Lena Seikaly. The Arlington restarurant/lounge opened in late November, however, Arlington County granted Melody Tavern a live music permit in late January, finally bringing the restaurant's name to life

Adorned in modern decor, restaurateurs Michel Daley and Jordan Cappolla's new 6,700-square-foot space exudes a cozy elegance with loyal clientele. A true new Orleans-style jazz and blues lounge, the 148-seat main dining area provides a warm and intimate atmosphere for diners looking for local live entertainment. .

The venue has an impressive performance schedule, with upcoming acts, like Broadway "Dreamgirls" vocalist Julia Nixon on Valentine's day.
Co-owner Michael Daley said:
“We think of ourselves as a ‘hidden jewel.' We are definitely a destination place and people are being drawn in by our excellent, reasonably-priced food. We offer plenty of free parking for our guests. There is no other venue quite like us in this area.”
