Miami has a very unique flavor. Would you say that living there influenced the style of your collection at all?
ERIKA: The way that people stereotypically view Miami isn't necessarily how the natives feel. When you think of Miami, you think super bright colors, glam, over the top and there is all of that in Miami. But there is also the very chic side: simple, minimalist, easy to wear. It’s always hot, so you have to wear things that are easy and not totally snug to your body…you do have to dress sensibly. There’s a little bit of Miami in my collection, and the biggest thing that stands out is how transitional the entire collection is. You can wear anything from the office, to happy hour, to a date. I love to look chic at work, and then head on off to get a dry martini.
