Connect 113 will welcome Dejanee Fennell, current Miss Black Maryland USA for a special send-off brunch. Fennell, a DC native and the daughter of Delegate Elect Diana Fennell, will be hosting a special community brunch to welcome her supporters and to raise funds for her favorite charity, Dreams for Kids. Fennell will be competing to be the next Miss District of Columbia USA on December 21st, 2014. Those attending Fennell’s send-off brunch will not only be treated to complimentary refreshments, but will also get the chance to meet one-on-one with the pageant winner. All she has requested is that those attending donate a new toy or cash to be used for DFKDC’s Holiday for Hope event, an annual day of festivities and presents for DC’s homeless and at-risk youth.
