[By Allison Priebe Brooks, photos by Moshe Zusman] The skies over Reagan National Airport were lit red, white, blue and fabulous all over for The Luke's Wings Homecoming Gala on Veterans Day Eve (Saturday night). The night honored military heroes, veterans, and families--particularly those injured in service to our country. Guests packed the famed historic Terminal A as guests mingled against the backdrop of floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the runway.
Party-goers danced the night away to a live band with premium open bar, smiled pretty in the festive photo booth, bid on great silent auction items like a Michael Jordan autographed basketball, and most importantly, were there for a very honorable salute to our troops. Luke's Wings is an organization dedicated to the support of service members who have been wounded in battle.
Luke's Wings founder Fletcher Gill and his glamorous girlfriend and event organizer Lindsay Kin did an amazing job hosting the gala. Event chairs Charlotte Jarret and Kimberly Robinson helped with all major logistics.
Guests included: Tareq Salahi, Theo Bell, Allison Priebe Brooks, Tiffany Carter, Nenad Dordevic, Wendy Gordon, Matt Mackowiak, Amanda Polk, Kimberly Robinson, Cheryl Romero, Nina Snow, Mark Vargas, Mark Vlasic, and Moshe Zusman.
