The Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design celebrated their FotoWeek DC partnership last night with a summer kick-off party for the upcoming FotoWeekDC 2010 Festival in November. The event, held at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, featured photo projections, a photo booth, and granted guests open access to the gallery's exhibitions.
Music from DJ Chris Nitti and Matthew Hemerlein filled the atrium of the Corcoran as guests mingled, wandered the gallery, and waited to have their photo taken in the photo booth which then projected the images to the crowd. The kick-off party recognized the new partnership between FotoWeekDC 2010 Festival and the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design and celebrated their collaboration on the November 6-13 events.
The week-long FotoWeekDC festival in November will be comprised of International Awards Competition ceremony and exhibition of winning work, prestigious lectures, portfolio reviews and many other events which recognize and celebrate world-class photography.
FotoWeekDC is a nonprofit and is supported in part by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
