5th Annual Dancing After Dark

The fabulous Swedish Embassy, aka The House of Sweden, opened its doors on Saturday to welcome friends of the Children's National Medical Center for the sold out 5th Annual Dancing After Dark.

Everyone needed a few minutes to get used to the overwhelmingly beautiful decor of the embassy, which also has sweeping views of the Potomac River, The Kennedy Center, and Rosslyn. There were several open bars, a huge table of food, music, and the trademark white teddy bear mascot offering hugs to the guests.

The party was thrown by the Junior Committee of the center, which is comprised of young professionals that meet regularly for happy hours and group dinners. Many members volunteer in groups at the center. The Children's National Medical Center has been open for over 140 years and is the only exclusive provider of pediatric care in the DC metro area.
