Another brewery completely worth the hike into the northeast quadrant, this company proudly produces beers that are "big, bold, and boozy." Grabbing an innovative craft drinks isn't the only reason Washingtonians are making the trek to this Takoma neighborhood locale. Serious enthusiasts love 3 Stars Brewing Company for their in-house shop where one can purchase the specialty grains and other supplies needed to brew craft beer at home. (They also deserve serious brownie points for their community involvement; they not only get their ingredients from local farmers, but they also work to feed the District's hungry.)
