Washington Capitals hockey sensation Alex Ovechkin wasted no time checking out DC's newest Russian restaurant Mari Vanna, and enthusiastically tweeted a photo of himself in front of it last night. He is a fan of the upscale family of restaurants, and was even spotted Mari Vanna in New York.
Ovi and other Caps players returned to Washington over the last two and three days to start what will be a shortened 2013 hockey season. The NHL lockout prompted Ovi and others to return home and rest up; now, team fan pages are facebooking photos of players back on the ice for practice, including our own.
We hope we start spotting him there with his fiancée, Russian tennis beauty Maria Kirilenko, soon!
