David Petraeus's Affair

Ah yes, saving the best for last: the annual DC political scandal, which goes to David Petraeus this year. He was caught having an affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, who was photographed drinking wine through the window of her brother's $2 million home in Mount Pleasant during the stakeout.
Petraeus resigned from his post as the director of the CIA and kissed his presidential aspirations goodbye in the process. Further reading of the affair will lead you to another mistress named Jill Kelly--dubbed the "Kardashian of Tampa Bay," and an FBI agent that became obsessed with the case, and General John Allen...it's basically a big ugly clusterfuck of cheating and awkwardness.
