Ellen Harvey: The Alien’s Guide to the Ruins of Washington, D.C.

Pretend you're from the future and look back on what was once the great city of Washington in this exhibition at the Corcoran by Ellen Harvey, which opens tomorrow. It is basically a really creative faux museum exhibit, with everything from maps of the neo-classical ruins to alien interpretations of what our buildings once meant.
Ellen Harvey is an artist known for pushing the limits with creativity. In 2003, she famously re-painted every piece of art in the Whitney Museum in her exhibition A Whitey for the Whitney, which created "a purposefully inadequate stand-in for the museum."
Free Summer Saturdays: The Corcoran is open for free to non-members every Saturday.
