You don’t need to travel into British Columbia to find steep slopes and powder snow bowls. Crystal Mountain is an excellent alternative to anyone looking to glide down the side of a mountain within close proximity to Seattle. Crystal Mountain offers a range of trails, allowing more experienced skiers and boarders to weave in and out of snow capped evergreens, and alternatively, for beginners to enjoy a more gradual descent. If neither of those options interest you, you can still take the gondola up to experience the panoramic views of Mt. Rainer and The Olympics. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of local brew coffee in Summit House Restaurant before heading back down.
