Don't feel like paying for a hotel room? The Clarion Hotel, in Sweden might be for you. Inspired by the closed down Hotel Chelsea in New York, the Clarion will now be accepting artwork as payment to stay in one of their rooms.
The Clarion's General Manager's Grandfather was an artist who actually had some of his work featured in the historic Hotel Chelsea. Hence the connection between the two, and the adoption of the unique rule. Unfortunately, the hotel only allows artwork to grant a guest two nights stay per year, anything more will require real money.
