Females rejoice, your ridiculously high life expectations and questionable fashion choices have a new home- a "Sex And The City" prequel has just been given the green light by the CW.
The "Sex And The City" spin-off will be based off of Candace Bushnell's prequel book, "The Carrie Diaries", which chronicles the young Bradshaw's senior year of high school, circa the 1980s.

Truly riveting.
The CW's resident hair bow experts, Gossip Girl's Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, will serve as executive producers with former "Sex And The City" scribe Amy B. Harris serving as writer and co-producer.
Although there were talks of other fashionable blonde Blake Lively taking the lead, there's no word yet on who will play the coveted role of young Carrie.
On some things we can be certain-there will be frequent internal monologues, dozens of neon scrunchies, and many, many puns.
