6. It's time to stop being a hater and have yourself a laugh.
We're tired of hearing that the show has been in decline since the golden days of Gilda and big-timers like Belushi. Yes, we love the Not Ready for Prime Time players, but we've also come to appreciate SNL for its awkward teenage years, for its Amy Poehler/Tina Fey/Maya Rudolph/Rachel Dratch era (represent, ladies!), and, more recently, for rising stars such as Taran Killam (who is now officially off the market after his marriage to How I Met Your Mother's favorite Canadian newscaster Robin Scherbatsky aka Cobie Smulders... darn congrats!). As any SNL host will tell you, there'll be a great season in store, so stick around!
