Is THIS The Best New Beauty Invention Since The Clarisonic?

By a vacuum company, no less. Yesterday in Tokyo, Dyson (better known by your mother, probably) unveiled the new (pricey) Dyson Supersonic, an innovative blowdryer. Four years and $71 million was invested in the gadget, so it's hard to blame them for pricing it at $399. While their original intention was to make a soundless hair dryer, they at least made one that is significantly less noisy.

We can all recall a time we've burned our scalp or gotten a shoulder ache from holding our dryer. But is that really cause for a hair-tech revolution? Sir James Dyson certainly thinks so. "There has been zero innovation in this market for over 60 years,” he told the New York Times"Millions of people use contraptions daily that are hideously inefficient, waste their time and are causing them long-term damage. We realized that we could — and should — sort this situation out."

The supersonic, which is lightweight and features a powerful motor which will apparently prevent head sizzling, is expected to hit the market in September of this year. However, if you want to get aHEAD of the game, and BLOW past your competition (it had to be done), you can always pre-order on their website. If you have an extra 400 bucks lying around for this, that is.
