La Birreria, the 4,500-square-foot  beer heaven atop Mario Batali's Eataly, is finally opening next Friday! It has 150 seats, German grub, and three house-brewed ales.

3. Rooftop Venues For Enjoying The Sun [NYP]

The NYP has a list of places to enjoy the summer sun and get your drink on. We're super excited for Urban Garden at the James Hotel. It opens this weekend! If it rains, you can always head inside to The Jimmy.

4. Esquires Best NYC Bars [TheFeast]

Esquire magazine included 29 NYC bars in its ranking of the 169 finest drinking establishments in America. Instead of going through their whole list which includes places from around the nation, The Feast has pulled the ones in our hood.

5. Martha Stewart Would Like You to Have A Drink [Mogulite]

The domestic diva has launched an iPad app that includes 100 different cocktail recipes

6. Six Point Now In Cans [NYT]

After six years of brewing ales in more than 200 styles for bars and restaurants to sell on draught, Sixpoint Craft Ales in Red Hook, Brooklyn, is selling beer in cans. It's $10 a four-pack and you can get them at Food Emporium, Whole Foods, Fairway, Good Beer, Duane Reade and, in Brooklyn, at Bierkraft in Park Slope, the Park Slope Food COOP, and Spuyten Duyvil Grocery in Williamsburg.

7. A Ban On Mike's Hard [NYDN]

Why does NY want to ban everything fun? First came smokes and now, the City Health Department is trying to crack down on Mike's Hard Lemonade.  Why? To stop teens from boozing, which obviously, won't work. They'll just move on to Bourbon faster.

A new bill, which must be approved by Albany lawmakers, would outlaw Mike's Hard Lemonade and almost all other types of mixed alcoholic drinks sold in 8,700 bodegas, delis and mini-marts.
