What to expect: Because Jacob Riis Park is not handled by the NY Parks Department, the rules and standards here tend to be a bit more lax than usual. In fact, there's even a topless section on the easternmost side of the beach! The beach tends to have a laid-back, relaxed vibe. Don't forget to pack a bagged lunch, however, as there aren't many food and drink options nearby.
