May: The Rose Festival
When: Mid-May (depending on harvest time)
Where: Kelaat M'Gouna, Morocco
Why: The festival represents the rose harvest, celebrating all of the beautiful roses with songs, dancing, feasting and a chariot procession through a shower of rose petals. During the festival, one lucky lady is also crowned "Miss Rose."
