Woodford Reserve’s $1,000 Julep
Every year, Woodford Reserve presents a $1000 julep for charity - this year, the recipe was designed by Assistant Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall and Master Distiller Chris Morris, featuring exclusively Kentucky-sourced ingredients: limestone water ice, Woodford Reserve bourbon, fresh mint, sorghum (a natural sweetening agent), and three spray roses plus a single rose petal from the actual Garland of Roses (the one that’s draped on the winning horse) as a garnish. Proceeds from the sale of this julep went to the Jennifer Lawrence Arts Fund.
