We called it back in March, after seeing 21-year-old Halsey perform at South by Southwest. Born Ashley Frangipane, the singer took her stage name from her Brooklyn subway stop. We like that. She was the most Tweeted-about performer at SXSW 2015, and with hits like "New Americana," the soulful electropop artist is poised to become the next big thing in music.
