Orbiting
A distinctly 2023 problem, orbiting occurs when someone you dated or were "talking to" has effectively cut off communication, but still watches your Instagram stories and occasionally "likes" a photo. If they are truly infuriating, they don't even like one of your hot selfies - they always double tap like, a picture of your dinner or something. A related term here is "Haunting," but that is only used when someone who has fully ghosted you returns to do some stalking. Sigh. I hate technology.
