Kain Warwick, who, if you couldn't tell by his name, is Australian, has been dubbed the "father of modern agriculture." That's a crypto joke that has nothing to do with plants and everything to do with the term "yield farming," which basically means putting crypto assets to work in order to get a high reward. Listen, it's an acquired humor.
Anyway, this Aussie "farmer" founded Synthetix, "a synthetic asset issuance platform built on Ethereum." Zero idea what that means exactly, but it's super big in the world of decentralized finance (also known as "DeFi").
He's also the co-founder and CEO of Blueshyft, a retail payment network that's become the largest cryptocurrency payment gateway in Australia.
