Match The Socialite With The Missoni IT Bag

You summer in St Barts, you winter in Gstaad, you have personal fitting sessions in Coco Chanel's apartment in Paris, but there is something money just can not buy! Unless you are part of a designer entourage, perhaps a frenemy to a socialite with time to kill designing handbags, then do you have an "IT" bag named after you?

That has been the mantle bestowed on some socialite big wigs, thanks to Margherita Missoni's first handbag collection.

Each bag is named after one of her self-proclaimed best friends (for this season anyway), with Eugenie Niarchos, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Coco Brandolini and Lauren Santo Domingo serving as her five-piece starter collection's collective inspiration.

The "Euge" patchwork multi-pocket shoulder bag, which mixes the Missoni signature zig-zag with nappa leather, suede and crocodile, is the most expensive at $3,140, but our favourite is the "LSD" a green quilted leather bag, printed with the classic Missoni's zig-zag pattern with added pom-poms ($1,275).

This is Margherita's first collection as accessories designer, having represented her family business as 'brand ambassador' for a number of years.
