Dr. Clark

When even the staff is decked out in designer, you know the clientele is going to be chic. At Dr. Clark, the Japanese eatery from restaurateur Yudai Kanayama which centers on Hokkaido-hailing fare, gallery girls, skater boys with rich parents, and Dimes Square types (like, for example, the founders of downtown's new favorite newspaper, The Drunken Canal) pile into kotasu-style booths topped with disco balls while servers clad in custom uniforms by It-Label Bode supply tabletop grills and lamb whipped up a million different ways. It's a vibe.
