Kyo Ya

Kyo Ya
You must give two-days notice to sign up for Kyo Ya's $120+ tasting menu, but if you don't feel like splurging you can still have a delicious meal at this East Village restaurant. The menu is authentic Japanese, and includes risque dishes to the normal American palate such as monkfish liver. If that doesn't float your boat you can opt for the more traditional sushi menu that's also offered at Kyo Ya. The place attracts a youthful crowd eager to try the diverse selection of rare seafood specialties, but make sure to make a reservation, because Kyo Ya is popular amongst groups, and fills up quickly.
