Chez Sardine is the new addition to the colorful West Village dining scene from the master restaurateur, Gabe Stulman. If you liked his work at Fedora, Perla, Joseph Leonard and Jeffery's Grocery, this is the next spot to try. Chez Sardine is an Americanized Izakaya, basically a Japanese tapas bar. Here you can enjoy playful small plates that look as pretty as they taste in a casual setting. The inside is reminiscent of authentic Japanese design, sleekly light wood paneled with the NYC touch of fish photography and a classic rock soundtrack.
