Santina - A Place We Eat

SantinaThe newest food slinging establishment from the trendy restaurant brat pack du jour, Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff Zalanick - Santina debuted earlier this year, and has proven to be yet another hit for the restauranteurs behind Carbone, Parm, and Dirty French. Bringing Italian coastal cuisine to the meatpacking district, the restaurant has a distinctly playful freshness to it, the entire scene something out of a bright, colorful seaside holiday where the food's that perfect level of light/heavy, the music makes you feel excited, and the drinks keep you cheerful. Finally serving brunch, God knows it took them long enough seeing as the light, fun energy of the place is best lent to a sunny afternoon brunch amongst friends, they've really got themselves a hit menu. Guanciale e Pepe over rice with poached eggs. Pannetone French Toast or Almond Pancakes. Shrimp Frittata. And our favorite, the Santina Sandwich, stuffed with scrambled eggs, fontina cheese, green chili, and bacon. Santina, 820 Washington Street [Photo via @satisfeed]
