When you imagine a quaint fish shack with open air seating, waterfront views, and lobster served about a million ways, you're probably not picturing it set in the middle of the swanky glass-and-steel urban sprawl of Hudson Yards.
But that's exactly where you can find Jibs, the upscale new seafood spot that seems plucked right out of Montauk or a New England beach town.
The recently opened sure-to-be hot spot from owners Cobi Levy, Will Makris and Thatcher Shultz has turned the Manhattan waterfront into a year-round summertime escape, complete with nautical décor, cabanas, string lights, and, casually, a huge shark floating over a DJ booth (which you'll no doubt be seeing all over Instagram soon).
There's a swanky stocked bar beneath a canopy of maritime flags and a menu filled with fresh seafood specialties, including steamed mussels, fish and chips, grilled lobster, lobster rolls two ways, and lobster grilled cheese.
If you've been dreading saying goodbye to summer, this might be the one place where you don't have to.
Jibs, 350 11th Ave.
