Café Salmagundi

Over in Gramercy, there's Irving Place's new kid on the block, Café Salmagundi. Along with high-end New American cuisine with a slight Korean twist, the eatery boasts an expansive 40-seat outdoor dining area complete with sheltered coverings for any of those sudden fall showers. In a fun homage to its location's namesake, the restaurant is named for Washington Irving's satirical periodical which lampooned New York culture and politics in the 19th century.
