It's never too late (well, hopefully) to jump on the earth-saving bandwagon. Wondering how you can start advocating for the planet? Your first step - in addition to, duh, always recycling! - is stopping by this weekend's huge virtual Earth Day Festival.
Earth Day Initiative (EDI) and March For Science NYC have teamed up to present a two-day immersive event featuring a range of big-name speakers, climate activists, digital exhibitions, and one of the biggest virtual marches and rallies to hit the interwebs.
On Sunday, April 18th, the event kicks off with a Virtual Stage of guest speakers, presentations, and performances. Catch the likes of Senator Elizabeth Warren, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Alysia Reiner, and many more discussing hot topics surrounding the ongoing climate crisis, and musical performances by LeAnn Rimes, Broadway’s Jagged Little Pill, and cast members of Diana: The Musical.
Then, on Monday, April 19th, enter into the '90s video game-inspired virtual reality space curated by Future Meets Present and Gather and create your own avatar to explore digital exhibitions, talk one-on-one with exhibitors and other attendees, and join organizers from Greta Thunberg’s Fridays For Future for a groundbreaking virtual march and rally, “SC1.5NCE NOT SILENCE.”
Make your voice heard, meet celebs, and help save the planet all without leaving your couch.
