Ronnie Flynn's Birthday Celebration featuring Nelly
Where: Up&Down
Other details: Nightlife impresario Ronnie Flynn celebrated his birthday last night with a huge bash at Up&Down. Flynn, who is one of the creative directors of the venue, has worked at some of the best clubs in NYC over the last few years, which was reflected by the crowd that showed up last night. The 'Up' part of the club has rarely been as packed as it was last night, with fashion, art, and nightlife personalities taking up most of the space. Harif Guzman, May Kwok, Brendan Fallis, Dree Hemingway and more crowded up Flynn's table, where they all let loose. DJ Sam French played a fun set, telling us he was sticking to the hits which went from mid-00's hip hop to Biggie to new tracks by Drake and Beyonce. Finally, Nelly arrived and performed about half a dozen of his biggest hits, which had the crowd in full swing, with some guys even lifting girls on their shoulders. Busta Rhymes showed up and hung out by the DJ booth, but didn't provide a performance, which would have been icing on the cake. Nonetheless, it was a phenomenal night for Ronnie and everyone else at the club, and the party continued deep into the night.
