Last night he surprised everyone when he showed up at Nylon's bash to fete Leighton Meester's cover. @raspberried who Twitpic'd this image wrote (either super excitedly or drunk): "HE JUST RANDOMLY SHOWED UP TO HER NYLON RELEASE PARTY. Thain, chairman and chief executive officer of CIT Group Inc best known for spending $35,000 on a golden toilet, bought an orchid sweetly named Cattleya Pastoral Innocence for $170. Martha Stewart got herself orchids with pink tips, telling Bloomberg “They remind me of high-school corsages." [Via]

Says PAPER's Whitney Spaner: Jay Wilkinson stars as a Jewish Confederate soldier who, despite the gangrene on his leg, manages to be the cutest Confederate we've ever seen. When Wilkinson comes home from the war, he finds his house ruined and abandoned, with two of his family's long-time, now-freed slaves, played by the fabulous Andre Braugher and Andre Holland, residing there. There's an interesting twist at the end that had the audience gasping in surprise at the performance we were at this past weekend. [Via]
