Where: The Plaza Residences
Who was there: Guests included Zach Braff, Billy Porter, Patrick Healy, various Junior Board Members of Rosie’s Theater Kids, and numerous attendees.
Other details: Last night, a variety of youthful theater supporters gathered at the Plaza Residences for Rosie’s Theater Kids Annual “Junior” Fundraiser. Young guests, aged 20-30, were ecstatic to contribute to a wonderful organization and to see celebrity guest Zach Braff do an informal interview with New York Times Theater Critic Patrick Healy. Once ushered off the elevator on the 6th floor, the attendees were shown into an extravagant apartment overlooking Central Park to begin the evening's festivities. The chic mood lighting made for a fun and casual atmosphere, as guests enjoyed summer-inspired cocktails sponsored by VDKA 6100 and cakes from the Cake Boss. Soon after, Zach Braff - fresh off a performance of "Bullets over Broadway" - entered the room and began the interview. From his childhood, to "Scrubs," to Broadway, to his new movie coming out, Braff discussed any and everything and held a Q&A for the audience afterwards. Halfway through the interview, Billy Porter made a surprise appearance to the guests and Braff’s delight. Even after the event was officially over, guests were still raving about how wonderful the evening put on by Rosie’s had been.
