If you're one of those people who finds it infuriating that 14 year old Tavi Gevinson has a successful style blog, sits front row at Fashion Week, and has styled photo shoots for BlackBook Magazine, you're not going to like this! The wunderkind attended a chic downtown party where they screened her new movie.-
Six Scents Parfums comissioned six "guest designers", including Tavi, to each create a new perfume. 3,000 bottles were made of each scent, and the proceeds go to War Child International. Each perfume sold comes with a DVD of short films by Alia Raza, starring Julia Restoin Roitfeld, and "story edited by, you guessed it, Tavi. (Not sure what "story edited by" means exactly, but we're picturing Tavi in a dark editing room with a packet of cigarettes and a few empty pizza boxes...)
Guests at the party (of the 21 and older set...) included Becka Diamond, Lady Alice St.Clair Erskine, Andrew Mukamal, and Sky Ferreira.
And not to really drive the nail through the Tavi Gevinson haters' coffin, but the kid is being honored at the Glamour's Women Of The Year Awards tonight. Because she is a woman. Of 14.
[Author's Note: We're totally on Team Tavi here at GofG, read her blog before she went big time, and were thoroughly impressed with her demeanor when we ran into her at Fashion's Night Out. She is the James Franco of the fashion set!]
