Geneva held a preview of the Fall 2010 Collection on its terrace overlooking the city. Floaty dresses and elegant watches abounded. As the guests marveled at Swiss engineering, sipped champagne, and listened to live music, they also, we assume, were deep in thought about the other associations of fine timepieces: the ephemerality of life and the inevitability of mortality. Or maybe they were just trying to decide who had the prettiest dress. Hurray for spring!
