Yesterday, the East Side Settlement House Hosted a Gala Preview for the 2010 New York International Auto Show. The guests sipped champagne, ran their fingers over the hoods of award-winning machines, and fantasized about heading straight for the open road.

This year's NY International Auto Show will run in the Javits Center until April 11. Word on the street has it that Hennessey's modified vehicles are top-notch, but that Ford and GM aren't displaying too many performance offerings. Still, we promise that the autos are real shiny. Go and check it out, but be prepared to hear elderly gentlemen say things like, "This little lady looks like she's got all the right equipment" and "Baby, your chassis is a sight for sore eyes."
