Philips Candy

If you’re ever on Staten Island for some actual reason, or you happen to pull an Amy Schumer and end up there completely by accident, Uber your way on over to Philips Candy. The shop originated in Coney Island in the 1930s, but was forced to relocate to construct the Stillwell Ave. subway station - hence the birth of its Staten Island counterpart. The shop’s prices are as reasonable as it gets and fan-favorite offerings include the much-talked-about Egg Cream (which sells for under a buck), candy apples and candy by the pound. Be sure to stock up on enough to make it the entire ferry and subway ride home.
