Lexington Candy Shop
One of NYC’s oldest, most legendary candy shops isn’t even really a candy shop at all and there are angry, confused Yelp reviews to prove it. This UES luncheonette has been family-run since 1925 and the interior (as well as the old-timey menu) is practically the same as it was many moons ago. You can’t get candy in bulk, but you can get a homemade soda or milkshake from the retro counter - we’ll take both.
