Russian Samovar

The red banquettes frequented by Frank Sinatra and the baby grand piano owned by co-founder Mikhail Baryshnikov sit intact at the Russian Samovar, a hub for celebrities to enjoy Russian staples and put on the occasional impromptu performance (looking at you, Liza Minelli) since the 1980s. The sexy haunt, where Baryshnikov took Carrie Bradshaw as his character "the Russian" on Sex and the City, has seen a resurgence thanks to the younger fashion and party crowd looking to indulge in vodka, caviar, and a little Eastern Bloc nostalgia.
