Getting Busted
After a year-and-a-half-long investigation, authorities arrested Lindsay on the charge of second-degree trademark counterfeiting earlier this October. According to reports, detectives found $40 million in faux designer fashion, along with 22 printing presses that created "thousands of synthetic heat-sealed counterfeit labels."
"This was not a mom-and-pop operation," Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly said of the bust. "This was a sophisticated operation operating two fashion merchandise companies, Christian Salvatore New York and Linny’s Boutique."
